Soundgarden - Ultramega OK Album Cover

Soundgarden's debut LP. Maybe not as good as the later albums like Louder Than Love and Badmotorfinger, but it's still pretty killer. Most of the songs seem to go for a nice Sabbath and/or Zeppelin meets The Stooges sound. Which is a bloody good combination. Ben Ratliff of Rolling Stone defined Soundgarden as the "standard-bearers of stoner rock" during the 1990s.

  1. Man you have got yourself a great blog! Keep up the good work! Especially thanks for the Necro Deathmort, reminds me of Scorn or Burial, or just Sunn O))) if they would go electronic!

  2. Thanks mate for your kind words. Yeah, Necro Deathmort is amazing, and you're right. It's like a cross between Scorn and Sun O))) or early Earth. Perfect mix :D .

  3. this album is better than anything that came after it, particularly after fame made them suck.
